What is Forperfect My Secrets (FM)?
Forperfect My Secrets (FM) is an Android Application that helps you to manage your secret information. My Secrets (FM) uses AES to encrypt your information. In cryptography, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is an encryption standard adopted by the U.S. government.

One master password is setup to encrypt your confidential information, the master password is never saved to the device. Instead, it uses a check message to verify the master key.

The software provides many features for you to easily manage your information, sort, search, import, export, change master key etc.

You can also setup the default options in Options screen, such as font size, row padding size, default sort order etc.

You can download and install the application from Android Market. If download from "Paid" market, you do not need unlock key as the software has been unlocked when you downloaded it. If you download it from "Free" master, you will need to provide us the device ID to create an unlock key for you. Upon receiving the payment and your device ID, you shall receive the unlock key within 24 business hours.

IMPORTANT: By installing and using this software, you agree our license agreement. If you disagree, you have to uninstall and remove the software from your device.

Download and Installation:
  1. From your Android device (such as T-mobile G1 phone), go to "Market". http://www.android.com/market
  2. Click "Application",
  3. Click "Tools",
  4. Look for "Forperfect My Secrets". In "Paid" Market, this software is released under name "My Secrets". In "Free" Market, it is released under name "My Secrets FM". Both versions are idential in functionality.
  5. Click "Install" button, the software will be downloaded and installed in a few seconds.

Uninstallation:
If you decide to remove Forperfect My Secrets (FM) from your device. Follow these steps:
  1. Click "Home" button.
  2. Click "Menu" button. You should see pop-up menu on screen. Select "Settings"
  3. Click "Applications", then click "Manage Applications"
  4. Find "My Secrets (FM)", click the title, you should see "Uninstall" button.
  5. Click "Uninstall" button, and follow instructions to remove the software from your device.


Order Unlock Key:
  1. Download and install the trial version of My Secrets (FM) from your Google phone. Select Market >>Applications>>Tools>>My Secrets (FM)
  2. After installation, start My Secrets (FM), click "I Agree", then MENU >> About >> Write Down Release version and Device ID.
  3. Go to http://www.forperfect.com/ms
  4. Fill out the form, use the device ID you get in step 2, follow the order process.
  5. Upon payment, you will get the unlock key by email within 24 business hours.
NOTE: If you ordered My Secrets from "Paid" market, you do not need unlock key. The software has been unlocked when you downloaded it.

User Guide:

1. Start My Secrets (FM)
After you download and install My Secrets (FM) from Android market, you will see your program list now has My Secrets (FM). Look for the green cube with shining core. See the screen shots below.
Double tap the icon to start the application.

2. About My Secrets (FM) Home Screen: Secrets List
When My Secrets (FM) starts, it asks you to setup master password. The master password will not be saved in device. Instead, it is used to encrypt a test message. And the test message will be used for verifying master password afterwards. Note that the master password must be at least 4 characters long. The longer the password is, the more safely your information will be protected. Please keep your master password safe, and remember that. Use hint to help you remember. The master password is not saved by this application. There is no way to recover the master password.



When the master password is setup, it enters its home screen. (see the screen shots below). From the home screen, you can enter all functional screens by one of the menu items.



3. Create a New Secret
At home screen, click "MENU" button, then click "Add Secret" in pop-up menu. Note: You may want to add/remove category before you add item. By adjusting category list, you can add secret to proper category you desire.


4. Update a Secret
At the My Secrets home screen, click one secret to view the secret details. Click "Update" button on bottom to edit the secret.

5. Delete a Secret
To delete a secret, if you are at My Secrets (FM) home screen, simply select one secret, then push "MENU" button, then select "Delete" from pop-up menu. If you are at "Update Secret" screen, you may click "Delete" button on bottom to remove current secret. Or you can long click a secret, the pop up menu allows you to delete a secret.


6. Set Preference
You can set your preference to change the behavior of My Secrets (FM). At home screen, click "MENU", choose "Options" in pop-up menu. You will see "Options" screen. (See screen shots below).



7. Enter License Key to Unlock My Secrets (FM)
You can use My Secrets (FM) up to 25 days. After the trial period, you have to purchase a license key to unlock the software. Otherwise, many functions will be disabled. However, you will still be able to see the home secrets list screen. You can also export the secrets.

After you made the purchase, we will send you the license key within 24 business hours by email. Restart "My Secrets" application, you will be prompted a dialog asking for license key. Enter the license key to unlock the software.

Alternatively, you may follow the following steps to unlock the software:
  1. Go to My Secrets (FM) home screen (secrets list page).
  2. Enter "MENU", click "More" from pop-up menu, then click "About".
  3. In About screen, click "Unlock" button.
  4. Now you can enter the license key to unlock the software. (see screen shot below)
